Join an Expedition
Smiles for Latin America provides a great opportunity for you to use your skills and capabilities to serve others. Our expeditions are well-organized and fulfilling. Not only will you be able to help in our clinics but you will also get the chance to enjoy an excursion to experience more of the country where you’re serving. To join us, just follow the three steps below.
Application
The first step to joining one of our expeditions is to apply, which you can easily do through our multi-step form that only takes a few minutes to complete. Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted for a phone interview within a few weeks. Soon after, we’ll let you know if you’ve been accepted and direct you to the online registration. If the spots for your position are filled, we’ll put you on a waiting list.
Registration
After you have filled out the online application and have been selected to participate in the expedition, you will be sent a link and login information to access the online registration. This user-friendly dashboard will keep you on track and includes more detailed information than the application form. It will guide you through all the necessary steps to secure your spot on the team and prepare you to serve in the country.
Payment
Each expedition has a base cost which must be paid in full at the time of registration. Your full payment will reserve your place on the team. You can pay online with a debit or credit card, or with a check by mail.
